Lacy's First Mississippi State Football Game!

The four of us were able to make the drive down to Starkville this weekend and had a great time. Lacy was great and seemed to really enjoy being outdoors. Katie and I were a little curious about how the trip would go, but everything turned out great.

On Friday all four of us were able to take a nice afternoon stroll around campus. I was happy to see that the tornado that hit last week did not seem to do much permanent damage. There were a few trees missing or with downed limbs but overall the damage seemed to be light.

Saturday was a lot warmer and we just made a quick stroll to the bookstore from the Cotton District. My dad and Amber were able to meet us and walk around campus with us. It was nice to see both of them for the first time since Lacy was born last weekend.

Katie and I racked up at the bookstore on Saturday. It seems that Barnes and Noble is taking over management mid October and everything was on sale. Now we have MSU notepads, trash cans, cups, tags, flags, grill covers, shirts, garbage cans and more!

Lacy also had her first dining out experience Saturday night. The three of us went with Grandad & Grandma Savage to the Veranda and had a great time. (Alright Lacy didn't actually eat there but she seemed to sleep really well, even as a speaker was right above her.)One quick note on the Veranda. I've been there several times now and have pretty much enjoyed it, Saturday was again a nice experience. However, the food time was extremely slow. It took almost 35 minutes just to get the appetizer. I'm not sure what was going on as others seemed to be getting served much faster. But besides that I really enjoyed it and would recommend it as a place to dine in Starkville.

Thanks to everyone that we saw and made it a great weekend. Matt, Jeff, Joe, Ellen, Keith and Amber. We all had a great time. And mom I hope you feel better soon, sorry you couldn't make it.

Thanks Eric. We did enjoy the weekend although we lost. I think it's due to the fact that we left at halftime. If we could have stayed I'm sure the tide would have turned.
