Wow,
I've been really bad about putting updates in lately. Lacy is really starting to grow. Every day I can see some way in which she is getting bigger or is just more attentitive. She really follows you around the room with her eyes now, and I think she is recognizing mine and Katie's voices. It also seems that she is sleeping better. However she is also trying to stay awake more during the day, that would be great but it seems that sometimes she isn't sure if it would be better to sit there quietly while we talk to her or to scream her lungs off in as high a pitch as she can reach. Right now it seems that when there is a tie then screaming wins! But she really isn't being that bad, some books say that infants cry up to 4 hours per day. She hasn't come close to this amount, it only seems like it after she's been crying for ten minutes. Thank goodness she had been good, I truly feel sorry for those parents whose kids cry all day continuosly.
Baxter has been great lately (well really ever since Lacy got home) and will try get a few licks in on her if we aren't watching. It can be a lot of fun watching the two of them interact sometimes.
At this point I can definitely tell you what Lacy's favorite thing to do is. In one word the answer is EAT. Katie keeps a pretty good diary of her waking hours, sleeping hours and eating times. At this point it seems that she eats anywhere from 12 -14+ times per day. And I thought I ate a lot at times. But in Lacy's defense she has perfected the art of expelling food in from both bottom and top. Poor Katie had to change not once but twice yesterday when Lacy decided to make some space in her little body by hurtling shall we say "previously owned" milk at an astounding rate of speed and velocity onto both her and Katie's clothes. To tell you the truth I'm not exactly sure how she even fit that much fluid into her body. But she sure knew what to do when it got there.
The four of us will be venturing to Starkville this weekend for Homecoming. We're looking forward to strolling campus and visiting everyone. And hopefully Lacy's second trip will be just as good or better than her first. This time let's hope we win the game though.
